When I first spoke with Kelechi the bride, she was excited and overwhelmed about her upcoming wedding day. As with most cultural weddings, she had to be very sensitive about the traditional expectations for their wedding day.  They had already celebrated their traditional ceremony in New York, so all that was left was their white dress wedding.  This was no small affair, it was going to be a celebration for 650 of their closest friends.  I enjoy the logistics of larger weddings and events, so needless to say I was very excited to start working with them to plan their wedding day.

Wedding day was a gorgeous August day!! You could feel the excitement in the air!  My team and I arrived early to oversee the event setup that had been going on since 5am!

Their ceremony took place at Arlington SDA Church and as it started and you could feel the love and worship in the room, it was like nothing I have ever experienced before and Pastor Kowlessor delivered a word not just for the bride and groom, but for all the married couples in the church.

After the ceremony it was time for the celebration to truly begin!!!  If you know anything about Nigerian weddings, you know that it is a celebration from start to finish and they had 650 guests that were ready to do just that!

The reception took place at the Arlington Convention Center and went off with out a hitch, even though there was a Texas Rangers baseball game going on at the same time!  It was on a high note filled with laughs and great music, the bride and groom did  their outfit change and the party started all over again!

James Willis with James Willis Photography and his team were on it all day and produced the amazing photos from this event that you will see below.
