We have made it through the ceremony and cocktail hour and now it is time to celebrate!!! As the guest anxiously await entrance in the reception room, there are several things going on behind the scenes. The starting of the reception is a coordination between the family photos and the arrival of the bridal party. You never want it to start and the guests are sitting and waiting for 30 minutes for the arrival of the bride, groom and bridal party.
Line up and introductions set the stage for the reception. I will typically be with the dj and my staff will be outside the ballroom making sure the bridal party is ready to enter. The bride and groom go into their first dance after the introduction and while that is happening we coordinate with the kitchen staff to make sure they are ready to start dinner service.
Dinner gives us a little time to take a quick break along with the photo and video teams. It is important to make sure they eat and have a little down time.
Toasts, Cake Cutting, Bouquet and garter toss follow dinner service and then it is time to party!!!!!
